Throughout Deuteronomy, Moses warns the Israelites against forgetting a number of important items. They were not to forget what they had seen (4:9), the covenant God had made with them (4:23), God himself (6:12; 8:11, 14, 19), how they provoked God by following other gods (9:7), and their obligation to repay the Amalekites (25:19).
